This week's property round-up

reiwa.com listings for sales data for the overall market for the week ending 18 August 2015 totalled 14,065.

This is an increase of 3 per cent over the week and is the highest number of listings recorded in the market since the week ending 24 June 2015 which was 14,250. The same time last year, listings for sale were sitting at 10,410 which represents a 35 per cent increase from this level.

Looking at the individual sectors, reiwa.com data shows that listings for sale over the last four weeks have ranged between 8,500 and 8,800.

This week, listings for houses sit at 8,714 an increase from the last week of 2 per cent. Units had a similar change from 3,009 to 3,107 this week, a lift of 3 per cent. Listings for land tend to move around, this week they sit at 4 per cent higher at 2,244.
