Sales activity in early 2015 is on the rebound since the Christmas-New Year week when total activity dipped to 182 sales.
Whilst the festive week volume was the same for 2014 as it was for 2013, the rebound in early 2015 has not been as strong as it was in early 2014.
This week’s volume of 655 sales is down some 12% on the same time last year.
On the listings front, properties for sale increased 2% this week after last week’s cyclical low of just over 12,000 and currently remains 6% below the figure from 4 weeks ago as listings were falling ahead of the festive season.
Unlike sales listings, rental listings dip marginally over the break and have increased by a further 5% in the past two weeks to sit at nearly 6,500.
