SYDNEY-BASED Tenix Alliance has bought the electricity construction and maintenance business of Bibra Lake firm, Bremner Power Systems Pty Ltd. This is the third acquisition by Tenix Alliance in the electricity sector in Western Australia this year, following the purchases of Atomic Power and Kelmscott-based C&S Powerlines, which has provided network services for four years to Western Power and Alinta. Tenix said the Bremner acquisition provided it with a significant presence in WA’s high-growth power distribution and resources sectors. Bremner has provided electrical construction and maintenance services to the mining sector since 1975. Tenix Alliance chief executive Sean Woellner said the recent growth in the mining and resources sector had created an expansion opportunity. “Our acquisition of Bremner Power Systems will help build our capacity in the mining sector, in particular, to capitalise on new mining projects requiring infrastructure,” he said. “Combining the established reputation and capability of Bremner Power Systems with the project management and utility experience of Tenix Alliance, provides clients with a strong service offering.”
