Jonathan Carapetis, the director of Telethon Kids Institute has been appointed to the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Australia’s leading expert health and medical research body. He is one of the 13 medical researchers, academics, clinicians and administrators who have been appointed to NHMRC Council. Professor Carapetis will be helping in setting the direction for the Medical Research Future Fund, which will ensure long term sustainable investment in medical research and translate to better health outcomes for Australians.
