Tate’s $9 million deal

EVANS & Tate directors Franklin and Heather Tate have reaped a $9 million boost to their holdings in the listed wine maker.

Mrs Tate received shares worth $4,787,637 while Mr Tate upped his stake by $5,124,597.That increase came thanks to a one-for-10 renounceable rights issue the company held.

In the resources sector Marlborough Resources director Norman Cheung increased the value of his holding in the miner by $2,073,712, thanks to the purchase of 33,197,666 shares under an entitlements issue.

Ausdrill director Garry Connell decreased his stake in the materials company by 1,000,000 shares, which he sold on-market. That sale reaped him $780,000. Mr Connell’s company the Garry Connell Group remains a substantial shareholder in Ausdrill.

Former Concept Systems International director Gregory Phillips sold 2,321,538 shares in the company, gaining a $789,323 return. Mr Phillips resigned as a director on October 20.
