Construction and engineering company SRG Global has signed its third $25 million contract in recent weeks, this time with ammonia plant operator Yara Pilbara.

Yara Pilbara, the Western Australian subsidiary of fertiliser company Yara International, operates one of the world’s largest ammonia production facilities, which has an annual production capacity of 800,000 tonnes per year.

The company has around a 20 per cent market share of the global ammonia trade.

Under the five-year contract, SRG will provide access and insulation services – and potentially maintenance services – at the facility, which is located near Karratha on the Burrup Peninsula.

Works have begun and will continue until mid-2025.

Managing director David Macgeorge said the company was pleased to begin its partnership with Yara Pilbara.

SRG has also recently signed a $25 million contract with John Holland for a Victorian government-backed hospital project, budgeted at $564 million.

The Perth-based contractor has been tasked with engineering works for the development of the Victorian Heart Hospital, which will be Australia’s first dedicated cardiac facility.

Works under the contract are expected to continue for nine months.

Earlier this month, SRG had also won a $25 million, eight-year contract for inspection and maintenance services on the Auckland Harbour Bridge in New Zealand.

SRG says works under the contract are underway.
