SRG books Multiplex’s Elizabeth Quay build

SRG Global will add another Elizabeth Quay project to its portfolio after being awarded a $25 million contract for work on Multiplex's Nine The Esplanade project.

The $500 million Nine The Esplanade development will comprise a 19-storey office building covering about 32,500 square metres.

SRG Global announced on the ASX today that it had secured specialist facades contract with builder Multiplex, the builder of the project by Brookfield Properties and CBUS Property.

Under the contract with Multiplex, which is valued around $25 million, SRG will design, supply, and install specialist engineered curtain wall facades at the project on Elizabeth Quay.

The upcoming Nine The Esplanade project is next to the recently completed One The Esplanade development, another collaboration between SRG and Multiplex.

“We are very pleased to be selected to provide specialist facades for this significant project in Western Australia,” SRG managing director David Macgeorge said.

“This project award continues our longstanding and trusted relationship with Multiplex having recently completed the facades and structures package for the One The Esplanade project and the recently commenced ECU City Campus development with Multiplex.”

SRG’s announcement said the contract would start immediately and work was expected to be completed in 2024.

Brookfield is developing lots five and six at Elizabeth Quay, with the latter being the Nine the Esplanade project site.

Groundworks on Nine the Esplanade site started in August last year and it is understood EY and Multiplex plan to move into the building.

SRG Global's shares last traded at 73 cents as of 2.52pm AEST today.
