SRG, Georgiou JV wins $43m contract

A joint venture between Perth-based companies SRG and Georgiou Group has been awarded a $43.4 million contract for road upgrades in rural NSW.

Under the contract, the JV will build two kilometres of new road, a new 320-metre bridge and widen sections of the road with work due to commence next month and be completed in mid-2020.

SRG managing director David Macgeorge said his company would be involved in the construction of the balanced cantilever bridge.

"This is an important infrastructure project which is focused on improving road safety on the New England Highway,” he said

“We are delighted to work with Georgiou again, in follow up to the Pimlico to Teven stage three project which we have been delivering together in NSW."

The JV is a 50-50 partnership.

Shares in SRG finished down 0.5 per cent at $1.69 today.
