THERE has been a surge of activity at LandCorp’s Challenger Business Park, in East Rockingham.
Since the arrival of a Bunnings Warehouse, more businesses have chosen to make the new precinct their home, with 18 lots now sold or under offer.
LandCorp chief executive, Ross Holt, labelled the precinct as strategically important in servicing the needs of the rapidly-growing City of Rockingham.
“This is an area where jobs for the region’s population growth will come from,” Mr Holt said.
“It will provide a home for the industrial and commercial service operations that will establish to serve this thriving community.”
Among the businesses establishing within the precinct are Solver Paints, Rockingham Glass and Perth Power Tools.
Challenger Business Park is the services and commercial district of the East Rockingham Estate which also includes heavy industry, port-related industry, advanced mat-erials and general industry.
According to selling agent Knight Frank’s John Hackworthy, all the showrooms built by dev-elopers are now tenanted.
“The fact that lot sales are developer-driven, rather than by owner-occupiers, is an indication of the high confidence in the area,” Mr Hackworthy said.
