THOUSANDS of children and parents have helped Western Australians living with multiple sclerosis by participating in the Premier's Summer Reading Challenge.

More than 8,400 children and parents registered for the challenge and raised $30,203 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA. The challenge was for children aged four to 12 to read, or be read to, for at least 15 minutes every day. To complete the challenge successfully, participants had to read for a minimum total of 17.5 hours.
