JOE Poprzeczny’s piece “University Law Outdated” (WA Business News, February 20) was spot on. I wish it could be made compulsory reading for those members of the university administration, university senate and members of convocation who seem oblivious to the harm the compulsory guild-fee legislation is doing students (many of whom today are mature people struggling to requalify themselves while supporting families), and to the moral principles at stake.
Please congratulate Mr Poprzeczny from me on a really excellent piece of work – his column is always the first thing I read.
