In a strategic move to boost its presence in the commercial real estate sector, Realmark Commercial has announced it has finalised a merger with Ray White Commercial.

The company's statement is below:

Realmark Commercial has cemented its place as a major independent commercial agent in WA following a merger with Ray White Commercial WA on November 1.

Realmark director John Percudani said the merger was a strategic move which provided a significant boost to Realmark's already well established commercial operations.

"This merger has allowed us to significantly increase our capacity in the commercial space and it also adds to the team's expertise across all market segments," he said.

"Realmark Commercial is now the largest independent commercial agent in WA, this merger will increase our properties under management by about 25 per cent and expand our sales and leasing agency capacity in the retail, tertiary, industrial and recovery sectors.

"Realmark Commercial provides a distinct alternative choice for clients who are looking for a non-corporatised style agency; we relate to those clients seeking an agency whose focus is not primarily on the CBD. This merger has strengthened our position even further, allowing us to be even more diversified and have an even greater ability to service our client's needs."

Mr Percudani said the commercial sector had felt the effects of the economic downturn, more so than any other segment.

"As a consequence we find that clients are now more than ever seeking a direct relationship with their agency of choice and are wanting direct talk and clear proactive solutions to the management, selling or leasing of their properties," Mr Percudani said.

"Coming off the back of the GFC, the commercial sector had a big shakedown but

there are likely positive times ahead and we're positioned and looking forward to continuing to grow our presence in the commercial market."

Realmark Commercial welcomes Joe Filardi, Tony Goudas, Brett Halvorson, Clive Cass, Jane Saliba and Sharon Marsh to the team.
