Property group renamed

STANTON Hillier Parker’s Perth office has rebranded itself as Burgess Rawson after joining the national Burgess Rawson Group.

Managing director Geoff Potter said the union made a lot of sense.

“Burgess Rawson, as from today, is one of WA’s most dynamic independently owned property consultancy practices,” Mr Potter said.

The Burgess Rawson name is not new to WA.

The Cartwright brothers, Michael and Simon, established the name in late 1998 after Michael left First Pacific Davies.

Michael said the decision to drop the Burgess Rawson name was because the group wanted to expand its WA presence faster than it had been willing to.

Mr Potter said the name change was an important milestone in the company’s history.

He said the firm would remain independent, but have a national focus.

“Too many real estate companies are centralising a lot of their decision making processes in the east or offshore,” he said.

“Being an independent within a united national group, we can make quick decisions which benefit our local clients.”
