Perth property magnate Stan Perron is one of three Australian property industry leaders inducted into the Property Hall of Fame this year.

Mr Perron is chairman of the Perron Group of Companies, with a property portfolio valued in excess of $3 billion comprising shopping centres, office buildings and industrial properties.

He chairs the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, which is entirely funded by guaranteed proceeds from Perron Group operations, and has a particular focus on children’s charities and medical research.

The Australian Property Hall of Fame was established last year by the Property Council of Australia to honour individuals who have provided sustained leadership, made a major pioneering contribution, and have left a legacy to the property industry and the Australian community.

The induction ceremony was part of the 2013 Innovation and Excellence awards held at the Star Event Centre in Sydney last Saturday.

The other two 2013 inductees are Victoria-based Gandel Group chairman John Gandel and Queensland-based FA Pidgeon & Son managing director John Pidgeon.

Property Council national president Darren Steinberg said, “Stan Perron is a true Western Australian icon who continues to explore new business frontiers while giving back to the community.”
