Perkins Builders will begin construction on the new Piara Waters high school, which will open to students in 2023.

Stage one of the Piara Waters Secondary School, designed by With_Architecture Studio, is expected to cost $60 million.

Its construction will include an education support centre, administration block, student services centre, library, information resource centre, and staff room. Perkins will also build general classrooms, food and technology areas, hard courts, an oval, and a car park.

Piara Waters will become the newest addition to the area, after the Aspiri Primary School opened to students in 2019 followed by North Harrisdale Primary School this year.

Another primary school, Forrest South East, is expected to open in 2022.
