Property developer Peet has released the first stage of its new residential estate in Perth’s northern corridor, Elavale at Eglinton.

A total 1,013 lots have been scheduled for release over a 10-year period, with 17 lots now available.

Preliminary construction and earthworks started on the 80-hectare estate earlier this month, located six minutes south of Yanchep and opposite the future Eglinton train station.

Peet managing director and chief executive Brendan Gore said the release of lots had followed the company acquiring the landholding in February 2019, prompted by the popularity of the northern corridor for residents, as well as investment by state government into transport, infrastructure and education in the area.

He said Elavale had been purposely designed to create family-sized lots, mostly between 375 square metres and 450sqm.

“Elavale is based on the classic Australian suburb of the past, while staying closely connected to all the modern comforts,” Mr Gore said.

There are plans for a primary school within the Elavale estate, while the nearby Shorehaven Primary School will open in 2022.

The new land estate adds to Peet’s existing portfolio of active developments, which includes Avon Ridge and Brabham, ranked Western Australia’s largest land developer, according to Business News Data & Insights.
