Promotions at HHG

HHG Legal Group has appointed director Murray Thornhill as managing director, to replace Simon Creek who takes on the newly created role of chairman. Mr Creek has also announced that he is nominating for Liberal Party pre-selection for the state seat of Bateman, which is currently held by former state treasurer and federal Liberal Party hopeful Christian Porter. Finance manager Etienne Swanepoel has been appointed as general manager, partner Janene Bon and senior associate Jade Lattimore as associate directors and practice manager Jenny Creek as associate director (practice management).

Kirk replaces Manifold at AWT

Geosciences and well engineering consultancy AWT International has appointed David Kirk as chief executive officer, from 1 October. Mr Kirk was previously Woodside development manager for the Pluto LNG project. He will be based in AWT’s head office in Perth. Outgoing CEO Cameron Manifold, who founded AWT 16 years ago, will continue to advise both the company and Mr Kirk in a strategic capacity. Mr Manifold, a former WA Business News 40under40 award winner, has also recently taken up a non-executive directorship at Romania-focused oil and gas explorer Zeta Petroleum.
