OMD WA keeps iiNet

Takeover target iiNet has re-signed media consultant OMD WA following a competitive tender process.

iiNet is OMD WA’s biggest client and the extension follows the two agencies having worked together for more than two years.

OMD WA is responsible for iiNet's media strategy, planning and buying, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marketforce, which is responsible for developing the creative content advertising.

iiNet chief operating officer Maryna Fewster said the internet service provider had complete confidence in OMD WA’s new leadership team.

Managing director Angela Nutton took over from Bob Goodge five weeks ago.

iiNet’s media spend is understood to be around $20 million per annum.

Sydney-based TPG Telecom is angling to take over iiNet, offering a $1.4 billion deal that has been endorsed by the iiNet board.
