Perth-based engineering services firm Oil & Gas Solutions has expanded its presence in Singapore with the acquisition of recruitment and staffing firm Jadeclover for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Singapore, Jadeclover provides recruitment and support services to the oil and gas, construction, environment and power industries, and has access to a database of about 60,000 potential candidates.

OGS chief executive Jason Antunovich said the acquisition allowed the company to grow its capabilities and resources throughout South-East Asia by providing clients with access to skilled, local resources.

The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.

“OGS has always had a policy of using local staff to deliver our projects around the world and adding Jadeclover to the mix means we now have access to a far larger pool of skilled workers across many areas,” Mr Antunovich said.

“That provides many benefits for OGS and our clients because coupled with our expertise in delivering projects, we now have access to more resources with specific skill sets.

“We have the potential to deploy sooner, commence operations faster and deliver in a shorter timeframe.”

Mr Antunovich said Jadeclover would continue operating as usual after the acquisition, but would also expand into new service areas including technology.

“The market is looking for providers that deliver specialised and on-demand services, while measuring performance in real time,” he said.
