Global accounting and advisory firm branch Nexia Perth has merged with Subiaco-based peer Cicero Group, taking on board four of its five staff members.

Nexia Perth announced the deal with Cicero Group, an advisory firm specialising in corporate services and supporting ASX-listed companies with their accounting and financial reporting requirements.

Cicero’s director Sonu Cheema, financial controller Steve Samuel, senior officer administrator Jenny Trinne and senior accountant Jessica Soto-Kitcher will move into Nexia’s William Street office later this month.

Mr Cheema is also set to become a director of Nexia Perth under the merger deal.

Nexia Perth managing director Mal Di Giulio said the merger was a strategic move that solidified its position as the leading player in the corporate services space in Perth.

“This merger brings together two exceptional teams, combining our strengths and expertise to deliver unparalleled services to our clients,” he said.

“With this expansion, we are poised to serve a broader client base and explore new avenues for growth.

“We warmly welcome the talented Cicero team into the Nexia family and look forward to an exciting journey of innovation and success together."

Ranked ninth on Business News’ list of accountants, Nexia Perth is a local branch under Nexia Australia and larger Nexia International umbrella.
