Angus Dale-Jones has been appointed Australian Securities and Investments Commission acting regional commissioner for Western Australia, following the appointment of Michael Gething as a principal registrar of the District Court.
He is expected to be formally appointed WA regional commissioner after ASIC has consulted with the WA Government, something it is required to do under the Corporations Agreement.
Mr Dale-Jones is currently assistant director of financial services regulatory compliance in WA and has held a number of regional and national positions in ASIC’s financial services directorate.
Indeed, his time with the corporate watchdog dates back to its days as the Australian Securities Commission.
