Perth law firm Talbot Olivier will commence trading under a new name today after finalising a link-up with two other firms in Sydney and Melbourne.

The Perth firm has joined with Argyle Lawyers in Sydney and Rockwell Bates in Melbourne to form Rockwell Olivier.

All three firms are owned by publicly listed company ILH Group, formerly Integrated Legal Holdings, and the joint branding was first mooted last year.

The Perth office will be the largest part of the combined group; it has 33 lawyers and 68 staff, making it the 21st largest law firm in Western Australia, according to the Business News Book of Lists.

Collectively, the combined firm has 130 employees, including 24 principals and 50 other fee earners.

ILH managing director Graeme Fowler said the ILH member firms have over 100 years of experience, and bring complementary services and skills.

The new brand is designed to accelerate group collaboration and achieve greater synergy.

The firm’s managing principal (Perth) Brendan Taylor said: “the launch of the national brand, Rockwell Olivier, is the most exciting development since our involvement as part of the first listing of a commercial law firm in the world”.

“The common vision of the firms in developing a strategy for growth across the Asia-Pacific region is unparalleled.”
