New Motor Vehicle Sales
WESTERN Australia’s sales of new motor vehicles increased by 5.5 per cent to 7,500 between April and May, on a seasonally adjusted basis. Vehicle sales have risen by 4.5 per cent in the past three months and increased by 7.3 per cent in the 12 months to May 2004.
Across Australia, seasonally adjusted vehicle sales increased by 2.1 per cent to 79,209 between April and May. They have fallen by 0.5 per cent in the past three months and rose by 3.1 per cent to 79,209through the year to May 2004.
