Grant Morahan has been appointed the inaugural Diabetes Research Foundation Professor of Research at the University of Western Australia.
Dr Morahan was previously head of the Complex Genetic Disease Laboratory at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne.
He helped establish the Australian Type 1 Diabetes DNA Repository.
