A strong focus on customer satisfaction has helped Monford Group grow its business by attracting repeat customers in the construction sector.

Managing director Declan White established Monford in 2010 with 37 employees, specialising in civil construction services and the provision of labour hire to contractors such as Georgiou and John Holland.

"The good work of Monford's personnel has not gone unnoticed and we are in high demand within the industry – hence the rapid growth of business," Mr White said.

Monford now has 181 employees and is continuing to grow by implementing audited management systems, attracting and keeping employees by offering advanced technology and employee development programs, and providing customers with quality work within time and budgetary targets.

Monford has been awarded contracts at some of Western Australia's largest projects, including earthworks and concreting at Chevron's Wheatstone LNG development, and construction, concreting, electrical work, and plant and labour hire at Woodside's Pluto LNG plant.

Starting out from a head office in Perth, Monford opened offices in Karratha, Sydney and Brisbane in its second year, and also started a plant and equipment hire division.

The business now includes a haulage division and a structural, mechanical and piping division, and has opened a Perth depot and Karratha depot with workshop and storage facilities.

With site managers and staff working on projects in NSW, the ACT, Queensland and WA, Monford chose to run all of its business on the cloud, to allow staff access from anywhere.

Monford places a strong focus on growth and continually reviews its strategic plans to ensure the business has appropriate resources in people, systems and technology to expand the company and offer more services.

"Monford Group's strategy is to ensure our core competencies are focused in the best direction for future growth and sustainability. To ensure the organisation is aligned to management's direction we have focused on our people, our systems and technology to propel us to our future goals," Mr White said.
