DAVID Martin has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Halcyon Group Ltd. Mr Martin, who has previously been general counsel and company secretary for Woodside Petroleum Ltd, assumes the role from Craig Readhead. Mr Readhead felt the need to step aside to avoid the potential for conflict going forward with his existing commitments as non-executive chairman of Heron Resources Ltd. Mr Martin has significant experience in the areas of mergers, acquisitions and corporate financing.
