Link Advantage and Editel to merge with Hinton at the helm

Direct Marketing identity, Phil Hinton has been appointed CEO of prominent digital television and audio production company Editel as part of a deal to merge with his company Link Advantage..

Hinton will continue in his role as fmanaging director of Link Advantage, which he founded, with the eventual merger of the two organisations imminent.

"The benefits of the obvious synergy between both businesses, is unmistakable. This is an incredibly exciting development for both Link Advantage and Editel," said Hinton.

"The opportunities this union will provide our clients is exceptional," he said.

Paula Killin-Mullins, wife of the late advertising industry legend, Colin Mullins, believes the joining of the two organisations fulfils Colin's vision of the formation of a truly integrated marketing entity.

"Colin and Phil had been in discussions since late 2004 about the possible merger, but this was put on hold due to Colin's illness. It is the beginning of a very long and powerful partnership that can only increase the service offering for our local and national clients" said Ms Killin-Mullins.

The resignation of Ray Black from Editel has accelerated the process of the companies amalgamation with Hinton commencing his new role as of today.

Editel, founded in Perth in the early 80's provides digital television and audio production to a large and varied client base. Renowned in the industry Editel's state of the art facilities based in Leederville will now become home to Link Advantage.
