State employee superannuation provider GESB has appointed Oakajee Port & Rail chief executive John Langoulant as its new chairman for five years, effective from March 7.
GESB chief executive Michele Dolin said Mr Langoulant's extensive government and private sector experience would be invaluable to the company.
Mr Langoulant has also been chief executive at Australian Capital Equity and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA.
GESB has more than 320,000 members and over $11.5 billion in funds under management.
