St John of God Health Care has appointed Robert Knowles to the board.
Mr Knowles is a director at Global Health, Drinkwise Australia, Silver Chain Group and IPG.
He was a member of the Victorian Parliament for 23 years until 1999.
He is also chair of the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, commissioner of the National Mental Health Commission, and chair of the Victorian Health Reform and Innovation Council.
