John Holland has awarded global engineering and construction services firm KBR a design services contract as part of its $120 milion upgrade of road and rail access to the Port of Esperance.

KBR said it would provide detailed design works to separate the main road and rail accesses to the port.

As part of the upgrade, 1.8 kilometres of road will be re-aligned and two new road bridges will separate local traffic from the port.

KBR is pleased to contribute our design expertise to this project, which involves overcoming challenges of construction while maintaining port access and traffic flow throughout the project,” KBR Infrastructure president Colin Elliott said.

“We have a global reputation for safely delivering projects in challenging environments, in this case the design of significant structures in a very confined site.”
