Perth-based IronClad Mining has awarded a $4.7 million contract for the construction of a mine village at Kimba, South Australia, to Ausco Modular.
The village is being constructed to house the workforce for IronClad's Wilcherry Hill iron ore operation.
It will initially accommodate 40 workers, but IronClad said it would be easily expanded to house the 80-strong workforce required for the Wilcherry Hill project.
Wilcherry Hill is an 80:20 joint venture between IronClad Mining and Trafford Resources, which is scheduled to begin production later this year.
