Clean technology developer Eden Innovations has dispatched the first order for EdenCrete products from a distributor and announced the same products received government approval in the US.

The news sent shares up 40.5 per cent to close at 5.9 cents each.

Eden said it had received the order for the EdenCrete products from its Australian and New Zealand distributor, Parchem Construction Supplies.

EdenCrete is Eden’s proprietary carbon-strengthened concrete additive that enhances concrete by increasing strength, abrasion resistance and permeability.

Eden says it has the potential to be used in concrete applications including road construction, high-rise building construction, marine and coastal applications, water storage, pipelines, hardstand areas and pre-cast concrete structures.

Today, in a separate ASX announcement, it said the products had received approval to be used by all US government departments, after it completed a 12 month trial.

“Importantly, this opens the way for Eden to now apply to all of the US state departments of transportation…to be used in concrete on the state and federal highways in  each state where approval has been obtained,” it said.

Eden is led by executive chairman Gregory Solomon.
