InteliCare breaks into east coast healthcare market

Recently listed healthcare technology player, InteliCare, has muscled its way into the east coast healthcare market after inking a binding sales agreement for 120 “InteliLiving” units. The commercial breakthrough comes from entering into a heads of agreement with CCNB, a Sydney-based independent health and community services organisation.

InteliCare’s core offering is a remote monitoring system, which assists the elderly, disabled or otherwise incapacitated – to lead a more independent lifestyle.

The system comprises non-invasive off-the-shelf sensors placed around the home – or facility – that are linked to an artificial intelligence, or “AI” unit developed by Intelicare. The AI unit uses predictive analytics to get to know an occupant and can alert carers via the InteliLiving smartphone application, or desktop platform, in the event of an abnormal change in behaviour or routine.

This means that any decline in wellbeing is detected by the system before an emergency occurs. The system can also monitor in-home water and appliance usage, giving important insights into a person’s hygiene and nutrition patterns.

CCNB will also have access to the larger scale InteliCare “Pro” product, which has a multi-client software interface, giving commercial care providers a digital dashboard to monitor their clients.

InteliCare said its Pro system allows the triaging of patients without the need to physically be in an occupant’s room or home, reducing staff exposure, response and travel times whilst maintaining a strict audit care trail.

InteliCare’s first east coast based B2B order follows shortly after the Federal Government’s announcement last month that it will fund up to $1,000 for personal monitoring technology, largely for the sick and elderly.

The Government funding initiative via its Commonwealth Home Support Programme came amid a wave of vulnerable people needing to isolate during COVID-19 who required additional support.
