THE Harriet joint venture participants at the Agincourt platform have announced the discovery of oil from drilling at the Artreus-1 exploration well. WA-based Tap Oil, a 12.2 per cent stakeholder in the joint venture, said that, although oil reserves were yet to be calculated for the Artreus structure, the initial result was very encouraging, with the oil column height consistent with pre-drill expectations. Apache Northwest is the operator of the joint venture and holds a 68.5 per cent interest in the well. Kufpec Australia holds the other 19.3 per cent.
