Spitfire Resources chairman James Hamilton has assumed interim day-to-day management of the company, following the death of managing director John Mackenzie.
Mr Hamilton was managing director at Sandfire for three years until Mr Mackenzie took over the role in 2010.
Mr Hamilton was previously managing director at Planet Mining and held directorships at two London-based mining companies.
