The residential arm of construction and development firm Georgiou has launched its latest project – a $40 million, six-level apartment building in West Leederville.

The 60-dwelling project, by Georgiou Living, will be located at 29-37 Northwood Street and received planning approval late last month.

Sales will begin within weeks, while construction is expected to begin before the end of the year.

Georgiou Living development director Armando Rossi said the project’s curved façade, designed by international award-winning architects Elenberg Fraser, would set it apart in an increasingly crowded Perth apartments market.

“This is a fundamental way we approach apartment development at Georgiou Living,” Mr Rossi said.

“The involvement of highly credentialed architects like Elenberg Fraser ensures that we are building apartment projects that are helping to drive the evolution of the residential market and stand apart from the cookie cutter approach to development.

“We secured a great location for this development and from the outset, our aim has been to deliver an innovative and contemporary building that raises the bar in terms of design for inner-city apartment living.”

The project will have a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, with prices expected to start at $385,000.

Georgiou Living is also in the middle of construction works at its 70-dwelling The Pocket apartments project at LandCorp’s Claremont on the Park.

Pre-sales for The Pocket exceed $58 million, while it is expected to be complete by April 2016.

“We have seen a very strong response to The Pocket, and this new project – as with all Georgiou Living developments – also offers a carefully selected location with a high level of existing amenity,” Mr Rossi said.
