Architecture and environmental consulting firm GHD has appointed Craig Walkemeyer as the company’s Western Australian manager.

Mr Walkemeyer is a civil engineer with 30 years of experience in engineering and project management, and was previously the energy and resources operations group manager for the company.

He has also held senior management roles with resource companies including BHP Billiton and Alcoa, both in Australia and internationally.

“My focus is to enhance GHD’s leadership position in all of the market sectors in which we operate in Western Australia,” Mr Walkemeyer said.

“Our capabilities in integrated design have been boosted with the addition of a team from architecture firm Woodhead.”

In April, GHD announced it would acquire Woodhead to combine a number of operations across Australia.

GHD said it serves a diverse range of clients in Western Australia, spanning water, energy and resources, environment, property and buildings, and transportation.

“I look forward to building and maintaining long-term client relationships, with focus on the entire lifecycle of their assets,” Mr Walkemeyer said.
