Redcliffe-based construction services company Global Construction Services Ltd has launched a new plant hire business division in the Perth metropolitan region.

The new division will operate as GCS Hire Pty Ltd, a subsidiary business to GCS Group.

GCS Hire will operate out of existing premises in Bassendean offering general plant hire and temporary fencing to a diverse customer base.
GCS Group managing director Enzo Gullotti said the new division was in line with the company's organic growth strategy to expand it's product range .

"We believe plant hire represents an exciting and new market for us in the Perth metropolitan area," said Mr Gullotti said.

"The launch of GCS Hire will create an important target market for us where there is potential for significant growth particularly in the industrial and commercial sectors.

"This also gives us the opportunity to leverage existing customer relationships established through long-standing services already offered by GCS.

"The new business division will also complement the Group's recent acquisition of Coastal Hire, which offers a similar suite of services to customers in the South West."

GCS Hire will be managed by Phil Funga, an experienced executive with extensive knowledge of the general plant hire industry, together with a team of qualified staff.

"We believe there are numerous opportunities for a Western Australian-operated business of this nature and we look forward to taking advantage of the current market opportunities," said Mr Gullotti said

In January, GCS launched a new business division GCS Northwest, based in Karratha. In early September, the Company completed the acquisition of a 75% interest in south west hire and sales provider, Coastal Hire Pty Ltd.

The Company now has operations throughout the south west region of WA, northern WA and across the metropolitan Perth market.
