URBAN Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) (WA) executive director Marion Fulker has resigned from the position and has accepted the role of chief executive at the Committee for Perth, commencing at the end of January. Ms Fulker was appointed executive director of the UDIA (WA) in August 2002, and has championed debate on issues including land supply, housing affordability, tax reform and regional planning. Her new position is the second major appointment for the Committee for Perth, following the appointment of former banking chief Tony Howarth as chair in November. UDIA WA manager of research and policy Judith Harley has been appointed acting executive director of the institute.
