Fortescue recognised for contributions to China

Fortescue Metals Group has been recognised as one of six Australian companies for its contributions to the growth of commercial ties between Australia and China.

FMG received the infrastructure award for greatest impact on the Australia-China bilateral relationship from the Australia-China Business Awards.

Other winners included steelmakers BlueScope for business excellence as a large enterprise, process and product handlers Mitchells Equipment for business excellence as small to medium enterprise, loyalty rewards marketing company Pinpoint for business excellence as a start-up, cleaning, personal care and baby care producers eco&more for business excellence in sustainable development and Argyle Hotel Group received a special recognition award.

The ACBAs were established 20 years ago to recognise the diverse Australian business interests entering China.
