DAVID Webster, formerly a member of ProMet Engineers senior management team has joined Fortescue Metals Group as head of project development.
He is joined by Jim Williams who has been named head of mining.
Mr Webster had more than 30 years experience with BHP (now BHP Billiton) in the steel and direct reduced iron industries. Before joining ProMet Mr Webster was a member of BHP Minerals’ global executive management team.
Mr Williams is a chartered professional (mining) with more than 40 years experience
He served as chief mining engineer for Bechtel in Australasia, principal mining consultant for Minproc Engineers and was CEO of Laverton Gold for three years.
