Adrian Fini and Nic Trimboli have bought Fremantle’s P&O Hotel for $5.3 million from local investors, as part of the duo’s expansion into the suburb’s west end.

The property developer and hospitality operator bought the 25 High Street property this month, with RP data listing David Coffey and Sara Ladyman as the sellers.

CBRE’s Ryan McGinnity and Chloe Mason managed the sale of the 121-year-old building, which attracted more than 130 enquiries.

The building was last leased by Notre Dame University as student accommodation before COVID and is currently vacant.

It sits on a 1,280 square metre site and has 32 rooms, bar facilities and a basement cellar.

Mr Fini and Mr Trimboli also own the nearby Vin Populi restaurant.

“The sale of the P&O Hotel continues the ongoing investor infatuation with Fremantle, and in particular the West End. Over the past six months, CBRE has sold $55 million worth of investments in the area,” Mr McGinnity said.

Ms Mason added that in the last three months, several new hospitality venues had opened in Fremantle, including Flight Club and The Flaming Galah.

“These venues, which offer a diverse mix of hospitality and entertainment, are crucial in driving visitation to the area and guaranteeing Fremantle’s future as a key West Australian tourist destination,” she said.

Mr Fini and Mr Trimboli were founding partners in Fremantle's Little Creatures, which was acquired by global beverage company Lion in 2012.
