Evolution Energy has appointed Grant Dyker as its new chief financial officer, as the West Perth-based junior seeks to add further value to its Chilalo graphite project in Tanzania.

Mr Dyker, who has more than two decades' experience, is a seasoned CFO and is well-versed on fundraising and financial activities.

Additionally, John Nolan and Jay Stephenson have assumed the roles of chief operating officer and company secretary, respectively.

Evolution managing director Phil Hoskins said Mr Dyker's appointment would ideally enhance the company's future operations at Chilalo.

"These appointments support our commitment to advancing the Chilalo graphite project and realising our downstream processing strategy in the US. We are confident that their collective leadership will greatly contribute to our success as we prepare for project financing and execution," he said.

On March 18, Evolution told the market it had received $3.62 million in funds, after BTR New Material Group took a 9.9 per cent stake in the company.

Evolution last traded at $3.48, up 2 per cent as of 12.13pm AWST.

Elsewhere, West Perth-based minerals aspirant Meteoric Resources has announced that Stuart Gale will begin as the company's CFO on April 8.

"His significant and broad experience in the resources sector at the very highest levels will be invaluable to the company as it continues to progress its funding and offtake strategies for the Caldeira project," Meteoric's chief executive officer Nick Holthouse said.
