A STRONG financial incentive is needed to help families act green when building a new home, says Solar Edwards general manager Vaughan Boultwood.

WA-based solar hotwater systems manufacturer Solar Edwards is one of the players in a new national scheme designed to help families choose environmentally friendly products when building a new house.

The Powersaver package consists of a a Solar Edwards hotwater system, Pilkington Comfortone glass, ceiling and wall insulation from CSR Bradford Insulation and Pilkington No Mist mirrors.

If homebuyers select all the features, they receive a free dishwasher.
