Coziron to get rods turning at Pilbara gold play

Coziron Resources will soon have an RC rig spinning up a storm at its Croydon gold project in WA’s Pilbara region after the company’s maiden drill program hit some notable results, including 8m grading 10.2 grams per tonne gold with a one metre interval running at over two ounces to the tonne gold from the Top Camp discovery.

The company has discovered a coherent gold anomaly that spans around 1.4km by 400m at Top Camp, which was discovered in late 2019 from an initial surface gold geochemical anomaly.

Coziron will also target some initial areas at the Bottom Camp prospect where a recent successful soil sampling program and scatterings of artisanal gold workings make for some compelling drill targets.

Bottom Camp is only 5km away from Top Camp and Coziron’s recent soil sampling program found that 20 per cent of all samples taken went between 0.02g/t to 0.8g/t gold, which is considered highly anomalous for a soil sample.

Following on from a successful placement, the company also recently polished off a 600m diamond drilling program at Top Camp however un-seasonal rains hampered the core processing efforts. The samples are now at the lab in Perth and results should be on the company’s desk soon.

The RC drilling at Croydon will consist of around 3,000m and while the rods are turning, the company said boots will be on the ground, mapping and soil sampling.

Coziron is also having its geophysical datasets across the Croydon project re-processed, including detailed magnetic and radiometric images. This should provide for further refinement of the geology and structural architecture of the project and assist the company to select appropriate geophysical targeting methods.

Coziron’s Croydon project is situated in an area with a growing inventory of emerging gold deposits in the Pilbara.

DeGrey Mining’s extraordinary Hemi gold discovery sits just 50km north-east of Croydon along what looks to be the same geological corridor. Some of the best results from Hemi include 44m grading 5.1g/t from 40m and 46m at 6.6 g/t gold from 92m.

Other intercepts were between 70 and 80 metres long grading between 1.6 and 1.8 grams per tonne gold.

If Coziron can get any part of that type of action in its next drill campaign its shareholders will be off to the races.
