Campaign kicks agency creatives

PERTH’S top creatives got a kick out of AdShel’s ‘creatives’ campaign last month.

The promotion involved a run of illuminated bus shelter posters featuring creatives’ names and a message saying “Hey (insert name) All This Space Could Be Yours”.

Targeted creatives were 303’s Mike Edmonds, Vinten Browning’s Steve Browning, Lori Canalini and Adam Baker from Marketforce, The Brand Agency’s Peter Nelson and Ron Samuel from JDA.

AdShel WA sales manager Peter Battams said that the promotion had been a bit of fun and the reaction from agencies had been tremendous.

“It created a real buzz around town,” Mr Battams said.

“Ad agencies haven’t been slow to embrace the illuminated street furniture concept and we’ve had many direct clients.

“Our renewal rate is 95 per cent and we work on a campaign by campaign basis.

“Sydney naturally moves pretty quickly, but WA has been one of the fastest States to jump on the idea.”

AdShel now has over 6,000 panels throughout Australia including around 800 in Perth.

The company’s Reach Performance Monitoring recently recorded a recall rate of 83 per cent in the 18-24 age group for its Kentucky Fried Chicken ‘Hit the Road Mac’ promotion.

For the same campaign, 51 per cent of non-working housewives registered recall as did 54 per cent of the ‘all people’ category.
