Western Australia has recorded another spike in COVID cases, with 7,426 new infections and two historical deaths reported overnight.
In a statement released this morning, WA Health confirmed two historical deaths had been reported dating back to April 4, including a man in his 90s and a man in his 30s.
The number of COVID positive patients being treated in hospitals across WA has dropped to 215, four of whom are now in intensive care.
Today’s figures take the total number of active cases across the state to 39,591.
The daily cases recorded today represent a 15 per cent jump on yesterday’s 6,349 new cases.
