Perth’s newest skyscraper has reached practical completion, with interior fitouts at Brookfield Place to be completed over the coming months, ahead of an official opening in September.

The 45-level tower is completely pre-leased to anchor tenant BHP Billiton, accounting firm PwC and Barrick Gold.

Commercial office tenants, retailers and restaurant outlets will begin a phased move-in, with café court tenants to begin trading from June 5.

“We are pleased to deliver such a modern, architecturally advanced office tower that will provide our tenants with a sustainable and efficient workplace.,” Brookfield Office Properties commercial operations chief operating officer, Kurt Wilkinson, said.

“Brookfield Place will literally redefine the skyline of the Perth CBD.

“I would like to congratulate the entire team who have worked on this project and we look forward to welcoming our tenants on-site.”

Brookfield said it continued to progress plans for a second tower at the site, after gaining development approval to build a 16-level building on the south of the site.
