NSW-based industrial manufacturer Bradken has appointed David Smith as its first Perth-based director, starting next month.
Dr Smith had a 30-year career with Rio Tinto, notably as managing director of its Australian iron ore business from 2001 to 2008, and as president of Rio Tinto Atlantic until 2009.
He is currently lead independent director at Atlas Iron and deputy chairman of the WA Ballet.
