Wesfarmers finance director Terry Bowen has been appointed chair of the West Australian Opera, to succeed four-year veteran Warwick Hemsley, who will remain on the board.
Mr Bowen’s position of co-deputy chair will be taken up by Allens Perth practice director Andrew Pascoe, who has been on the WA Opera board since 2011.
Drilling technology business Metzke director Julian Burt has also joined the board.
With Wesfarmers as its principal partner, the state opera company will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2017.
